Hello

This is my first blog post, so let me introduce myself! My name is Paige, and this is my first time ever creating a blog. I love vintage fashion and sewing, I am still a beginner seamstress so bear with me as I make mistakes, and learn new techniques. I also am a gluten free, dairy free baker, so I will enjoy showing you new recipes and such.
Here is a picture of the first thing I sewed for myself, a wool skirt with pleats.  Though it was indeed from a  modern pattern, I thought it was a great basic black skirt, with a little bit of 1940s style. As you can see I am wearing it with a pink kitty cat blouse from Modcloth. For those of you who don't know what Modcloth is, it's a online store, which has the greatest vintage inspired decor, clothing, shoes ( love their shoes), accessories and swimsuits. They also have authentic vintage, but that normally sells out pretty quickly. I suggest you check it out, here is the link: http://www.modcloth.com/
Here is a picture of the first dress I sewed, in a great baby blue flannel. To the left of it is a picture of the pattern I used. This was really my first vintage sewing project, and this pattern really launched my love for vintage patterns. It is indeed in junior size, and I ended up not doing the tie around the top, cause in the flannel it started to look.. kinda phony if you know what I mean, kinda over sized and cartoonish.
Well, that's all for now!
